resolution was requesting the RBI to give relaxations and post pone the
implementation of the Prudential Norms to the Cooperative Banks, to enable the
Coop. Banks to educate its members, who are owners about the NPA concept.

b.       Outcome/Resolutions; (a)
Cooperative sector must be recognized as an Economic system on par with the
Capitalistic system.  It should be included in Five Year Plan
Document. (b) National Cooperative Policy must be formulated. (c) Financial
assistance must be provided to Cooperative Banks to set aside the effects of
Prudential Norms, as was done to the Commercial Banks.

of Narasimham Committee Recommendations on Indian Rural Economy and
strengthening of Cooperative System" on 23-6-1998.Â

This Seminar is conducted with the Economists, Bankers, the
Cooperators, Sociologists and the Senior Journalists. Participants; Dr.

Nanchariah. Dept. of Economic , Hyderabad Central University, Sri. A. Anantha
Krishna Rao, Director,SBH, Sri B. Hanumantha Rao, Senior Journalist and Head of

Out Come/Resolutions;Â The
main resolution was that Indian Economy may be viewed as (1) Rural Economy and
(2) Industry & Trade Economy. The strengthening of the rural economy
through the Cooperative sector is a must. This leads to increase the
"Purchasing Power" of the small &marginal farmers and the rural
artisans, in turn increases the '"Demand" for the Industry and Trade
Sector. It leads to a sustainable economic development of the Indian
economy. Negligence of rural economy leads to social tension among the
rural people.Â

4.         "Work Shop on strengthening & Vigilance in
Cooperatives", on 4-11-2000.Â

Table Meet on 'The Companies(second amendment) Bill-2001"Â
a.        Conducted on

Farmers Association affiliated to the Political Parties in A.P.,
b.      Out Come/ Resolutions;
The Round Table Meet unanimously resolved to appeal the "Hon'ble
Parliament to refer the 'Â 'The Companies(second amendment)
Bill-2001Â ' to the Parliant Standing Committee for wider discussions with
the experts.

Under
took a case Study on " Cooperative Credit in Mahaboobnagar
District" to assist the State Govt. of A.P. in restructuring the
PACS in 2002.

a.      The Study Team consist of

Study team advised to reconstruct the PACS consist of maximum 7-8 villages,
having 2000 eligible members in each PACS.

b.      The Out Come/Resolutions;
The main resolutions are,
(a)Â Â Revival Package should be applicable to all Cooperatives, not
be    optional, with out conditions.
(b) Â Â Govt. of India that
with out procrastinating further, release the financial package to all the
Cooperative Institutions without looking for the share of the State Govts. The
Govt. of India should release both the shares of Centre and the State. State Govt.
share may be treated as a soft loan.

(c) Â Â All PACS, DCCBs and
SCBs should be taken up for revitalization and provide financial
support for recapitalization, as their impairments was largely on account of
external factors.
8.        “Report
on Role of Rural Cooperative Credit Institutions for  Development
of Scheduled Tribe Members in Tribal Areasâ€-2019
The research study entrust to us, the 'Sahakara Samkshema
Samithi" by the National Federation of State Cooperative Banks (NAFSCOB),
Navi Mumbai. to study the Role of Rural Cooperative Credit Institutions for the
Development of Scheduled Tribe Members in Tribal areas. The study area
comprised of Tribal Areas of Rayagada and Gajapati districts of Odisha State,
Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh State and erstwhile Adilabad
distric of Telangana State. the study was conducted as per the Terms of
Reference of the NAFSCOB order. This study is fully Funded and Supported by the
NAFSCOB. The study team consist of Sri. Sambharapu Bhoomaiah, Director, Sri. K.
Dasaratham, Lecturer(Retired) Kakatiya Coop. Training Center, Hanmakonda of TS
Coop. Union, and Sri. M. Venu, Sahakara Darma Pracharak of Sahakara
Samkshema Samithi.
Outcome; The LAMPS/PACS are not accessible to the members to
actively participate in the affairs of the Society. They need to be
restructured in the Scheduled Tribe notified Areas. The PACS functioning
in the Scheduled Tribe notified Areas may also be restructured and named
as LAMPS. They should also adopt the LAMPS By-laws. The LAMPS are
to be brought under the purview of the Special Central Assistance to Tribal
Sub-Schemes (SCA toTSS) grants, along with administrative Mechanism. An
ICDP model programme for motivation and as facilitator for implementing the
objectives of the LAMPS.
9.      "Cooperative
Economic System in Rural India - A Perspective"Â on 3-10-2019.
 One day Symposium is organised in collaboration with
Dept. of Economic, Osmania University. The participants are the
Economists, The Cooperators, The  Political Parties, The
Farmers Associations and Student Scholars in Economic
    and Sociology. The Symposium is presided by Prof.
D. Ravinder, Principal; University College of Arts & Social Sciences,
Osmania University. Chief Guest and Inaugurated by Sri Konduru Ravinder
Rao, President, Telangana State Coop. Apex Bank Ltd. Guest of Honour is
Sri T. Rajeswar Rao, Chairman, Telangana State Coop. Union. Back ground of
Paper is submitted by Sri Sambharapu Bhoomaiah, Director, Sahakara Samkshema
Samithi, Theme Papers are submitted by Dr. K. Chakradhar Rao,

 Outcome;Â
The Symposium reaffirmed that the Cooperative system is an
Economic system. It believes in ethical values, behaves with social
responsibility and protects its members from the exploitative nature of the
Private sector. The same regulations can‘t be applied to Private sector and
Cooperative sector. A separate regulation had to be framed for the
Cooperative Sector with the adherence to its’ Principles and ethical values.
Cooperative Subject must be introduced as a syllabus from University level to
Primary level.
